Local Business Leads in the Areas You Serve

Local business leads are contact records for businesses operating in a specific area: a business name plus the details needed to reach it. BusinessLeadSearch builds them from the business type you sell to and the states, cities, or ZIP codes you actually serve. Every delivered lead includes the business name, a phone number, and a street address; a website and a publicly available email are included when the business publishes them. A match means a business fits the criteria you set — it is a prospect, not a business that has asked to be contacted.

  1. 1. Business type

What you sell to, e.g. car washes or salons

  2. 2. Territory

A city, plus any nearby ZIP codes you also cover

  3. 3. Delivered leads

Business name, phone and street address; website or email when the business publishes one

Why local

Why Local Prospecting Works

Local prospects are easier to visit, service, and deliver to, and a shared community gives you something to talk about on the first call.

  • Route-based sales

Plan visits around addresses close together.

  • Field services

Stay inside the areas you can reach and your travel budget.

  • Local agencies

Pitch businesses in the markets you know best.

  • Distributors

Focus on stores inside your delivery area.

Targeting

How to Search for Businesses by Location

Work through the search in this order:

Choose the business type you sell to — describe it in your own words, or start from a category in our industry directory.

Pick one or more states for broader coverage. State-by-state targeting covers searches that span several states or a whole region.

To narrow the search to markets you already know, add the towns and cities inside the states you selected.

For precise territories, enter exact five-digit ZIP codes; the state field is optional when you search by ZIP. ZIP code targeting explains how to combine several ZIP codes in one search.

City and ZIP selections can be combined in the same search, and the results cover the union of everything you picked — all of one city plus the ZIP codes just outside it, for example. Every delivered lead has a street address, so you can map the list before you start calling.

Then choose how many leads you want and start the search.

Getting started

Local Searches That Work Well

Start with an industry you already sell to, a city or a handful of ZIP codes you already cover, and a modest lead count. Review the results, then expand to neighboring ZIP codes or related industries.

Lead details

What Each Delivered Lead Includes

Phone number

Required on every delivered lead.

Street address

Required on every delivered lead, with city, state, and ZIP.

Website

Included when the business lists one.

Email

Included when one is publicly available.

Businesses without both a phone number and a street address are not delivered. There's no subscription: credits are held when a search starts, you're charged only for leads actually delivered, and unused credits are returned. Current rates are on the pricing section of the homepage.

These are business contact details for the company itself — the phone number and street address on record for the business, not a promised owner name or a personal mobile number. A delivered lead is a prospect that matches the industry and location you chose, not a guarantee of interest, a response, or a sale.
